Southern Bikes

(Arthur Reblando - Joseph Estrellado - Jamie Perez - Ryan Quiray - Jeff Rosales)

We have always been fond of new adventures and discoveries. Locally, We’ve been everywhere we can set foot to: The mountains of Bukidnon, the waters of Camiguin, the caves of Sagada, the roads of Aurora Baler. There is just so much to visit and explore but time and circumstances make it challenging as taking trips can be expensive. We would go trailing, hiking, hitch hiking,  biking, camping and more. There is a kind of rush that gives us the feeling of being alive and that we really living our life to the fullest.

Like most ideas, this one was planted years ago and festered in the back of our heads. Our passion made us thought of what we believe to be a brilliant yet provocative idea: To travel from Luzon to Mindanao on a bike. This inkling means to promote travel, wellness and solidarity among peers who are on a budget. We have to think of other ways to see the world, one kilometer at a time.

Our goals are to meet the physical and mental demands of a long distance self contained bike packing. To promote Ecotourism by means of Eco friendly self-propelled transport, to experience the cultures from the different regions we  will visit, take advantage of the many other outdoor activities that will present themselves along the way, and most of all, have fun.

This advocacy is a testament of our appreciation for Life, Nature, its beauty and gifts to man. A testament that you really do live only once and that you should make every moment of your existence count.
